On Monday, March 31, 2008, the founder of our organization, Arnie Busher, passed away. His dedication and true belief that a student’s character should count equally with academics and athletics was and is the inspiration behind the success of Mainely Character. Through the creation of this scholarship program, Arnie shined a light on the successes of students in the skills that truly count in life — courage, honesty, integrity, responsibility. His work lives on through the students Mainely Character supports each year.
